Firstly, let me extend a huge welcome! We are delighted you’re planning on joining us and very much hope that you do. It is a decision you will not regret!
I know that making this decision about what to study for the next two years of your education can be a daunting prospect. I hope that the information you will find within these pages will give you a true insight into what our Sixth Form has to offer, and make you confident that an application to SPH would be a fantastic decision – one which will provide you with many exciting opportunities over the next two years.
As a Catholic Sixth Form we work tirelessly to ensure that everyone fulfils their God-given potential. Every student is known by name, cared for, nurtured, challenged, and loved.
The pastoral care and support you will receive in the Sixth Form is outstanding. You will be treated as a responsible young adult and, regardless of your faith background, you are welcomed at SPH with open arms.
Whichever courses you choose, you will be taught by excellent teachers, all of whom will go that extra mile to ensure you fulfil your enormous potential. The support and encouragement you will receive from your teachers, tutors and fellow students is second to none.
Our examination results at all levels consistently exceed the national average and continue to improve year-on-year. This is without us being selective on our admissions’ policy. We believe that everyone can achieve.
You are welcome to come in and have a tour anytime and meet the Sixth Form Team, we hold our Sixth Form Open Evening in November each year. The Open Evening gives you the opportunity to speak to the subject teachers about our A Level and BTEC courses, pick up a Course Booklet which provides details of each course and how it is assessed, and find out about the entry requirements. Current Sixth Form students will also be at the Open Evening to answer any questions.
For those students currently not at SPH we are always happy to arrange school tours, and taster days – please contact us.
